The efficiency of air diffusion (Ez) of the high induction DAL 358 diffuser equal or greater 1.1

Within applicable fields of DAL 358, this factor may formally be regarded for the purposes of calculating the amount of fresh air for a vessel making use of heating through the ceiling more than 15˚ C (26˚ F) that the room temperature and returns on the ceiling. The standard 129 is allowed the use of Table 6.2 rating: 5 of ANSI / ASHRAE 62.1.

LEED "PLATINUM" Certification

 

The Phenix

Montréal, Qué.  

 

    An ecologically responsible project

    Located in south west Montreal, this building is a model of social and eco-responsibility. An old warehouse revamped during major renovations in 2014, now the 3500 Saint Jacques street has become an example of the architectural and planning best practices.

     

    The firm has conceived of a unique work environment in accordance sustainable development practices.

     

    A filtration system has been implemented to treat all the on site water which contributes to the well being of the occupants and their work space with an interior and exterior plantation which improves the air quality.

     

    Photovoltaic panels on the roof and a heat recuperating system have been installed for fall heating. The distribution of the air has been intrusted to the NAD Klima, RRA diffusers which produce a homogenized blending of the air. This building is home to the head offices of Lemay, a reputed architectural firm recipient of many international distinctions.

     

    During the summer of 2017 the artist Taka Sudo painted a mural symbolizing the phoenix of human rights on the faced of the building which is now named The Pheonix.

LEED Certification

 

The Waterpark

Blainville, Qué.

 

    Construction of a new 2768 m2 waterpark. This modern 2 story building is the first to house a 10 lane, 25 m x 25 m pool in Québec, including bleachers able to seat 230 spectators. Furthermore, this spacious facility has 6 trampolines, a 5-metre tower, a two-tier recreational 10 m x 10 m water basin, a 4000 ft2 multi usage room and a triple locker room including a family lock room. There is also a food court.

     

    Inspired by a desire for ecological development, the construction of this waterpark was designed with a LEED certification in mind with the highest environmental standards.

     

    Special care was taken when designing the outer shell of the building as well as the building materials. The ingenuity of the electromechanical systems and the thermal shell render the project energy efficient. The NAD Klima FDD diffuser de-statificate the air in the pool area allowing for maximum comfort and energy efficiency.

     

    The building blends into the serene setting and the surrounding nature while supporting LEED norms.

LEED NC "Silver" Certification

 

Akzo-Nobel Canada

St-Hubert, Qué.  

 

    AkzoNobel Canada's Longueuil Distribution Center is certified LEED-NC Silver. The project garnered 33 points on the rating scale of the Canada Green Building Council.

    The Montreal distribution center for Akzo Nobel (Sico) is a 202,000 sq. ft. facility with 29 shipping and receiving doors incorporating a 30,000 sq. ft. alkyde storage area with containment, and 4 hr. firewalls.

     

    Employee facilities include staff locker rooms complete with showers and a large cafeteria with exterior terrace.

     

    The project has received LEED Silver certification for new construction and features wall mounted solar preheating panels and rooftop heat-wheel ventilation units for heating and ventilation of the warehouse space. The NAD Klima’s flexible high-induction FDD diffusers provide air distribution.

     

    Energy savings are in the order of 37%.

     

    In 2012, the north america's paint activities of AKZO-Nobel have been sold to PPG industries.
